You get one shot — At parenting

At being young

At experiencing this moment

At life.

Why spend it so busy chasing after dreams that other people tell you to have?

Or wasting it away with mindless entertainment by people you’ll never meet?

Or rushing your kids around to places, never being able to enjoy them or let them be bored?

According to research from OurWorldinData.org, most countries have seen a large change in the amount of time parents — especially mothers — spend with their children.

However, the data doesn’t show what you might think.

Instead of showing that we are spending less time with family, data sourced from research published in 2016 by sociologists Giulia Dotti Sani and Judith Treas, shows we are spending more time with our children — despite the increase in single-parent households and mothers in the workforce.

We are with each other more, but to what extent? How are we spending our time together?
