Summary —

“Set Boundaries, Find Peace” is a soft-voiced, easy-to-digest guide to setting boundaries in any relationship, whether that be friend, parent, partner, child, or coworker.

The author sets the tone of her book by explaining that her arrival at boundary-setting knowledge was not just through her professional experience and education but also through learned experience in her own personal life.

She is honest about her struggle but is adamant the journey to boundary-filled relationships is worthwhile.

Favorite part —

Chapter 9, “What Are You Doing to Honor Your Boundaries?” was my absolute favorite part. It was a breath of fresh air, filled with wonderful tips on how to honor our own boundaries.

“Before we teach others to respect our boundaries, we must learn to honor them ourselves.”

As a therapist, who discusses boundaries with clients daily, I believe this part of boundary setting is often overlooked.

We cannot hold boundaries with others if we are not able to hold them with ourselves.
