Advice to Soon-to-Be Parents — “How Many Crib Sheets Do You Need?”

So you just had your baby shower and are assessing the goods you received. As you set duplicate items into piles, you notice that the amount of crib sheets is many more than the other items.

Before you know it, you have a dozen crib sheets and only one crib, and you think,

“Do I need this many? Everyone says you can never have too many, but this seems excessive!”

You may want to reconsider keeping all the crib sheets unless you have unlimited space.

Baby stuff begins to add up, and having so many pieces of one item can take up helpful space for other essential things.

Not to mention, they are only useful for a small period of time in your child’s life. All too soon, your baby will grow out of her crib, and you’ll have too many sheets with no home.

So, how many crib sheets do you actually need?

The answer to this depends on a couple of things-

  1. The frequency with which you do laundry
  2. The number of children you plan to have
